Location: Opstal wine farm, Slanghoek.
A stylish bedouin tent was set up near the bottom of the wine vineyard along a small stream. The setting was stunning. We were set up in a tent just along side the main tent. It was stiflingly hot and although we were thankful for the wind that picked up when the guests arrived, It didn’t do much for the fancy hairstyles. Anyway we managed (just) in the gusting winds (almost lost the tent we worked in) and we had guests pouring in to our tent totally amazed that we could get our food out beautifully hot and perfectly cooked under the conditions. The brides mother called us in the next week to thank us for our delicious food. Another successful wedding to our credit.
Canapes:
- Red thai curry prawns in espresso cups
- Mini tomato and mozzarella tarts with basil pesto
- Tandoori chicken skewers with coriander yoghurt dip
- Sesame crusted salmon with wasabi dip
- Walnut camembert puff with plum chutney

- Baked phyllo and camembert tarts with berry compote and wild rocket

- Fillet of beef with parmesan and cream potato gratin, roast vegetable stack and caramelized onion and red wine sauce
