Anneke de Kock 21st Birthday – 2009 Feb 28th

Location: Normandie Farm, De Doorns

Anneke wanted a sophisticated evening for her and close friends to celebrate her 21st birthday. This menu was carefully thought out as each component needed to marry with certain wines.

Canapes with Champagne

  • Smoked salmon mousse cornets
  • Chilli and lemon grilled prawns
  • Parma ham, Chourizo, Salami, coppa stagionata
  • Tuna Nigiri

Tasting menu:

1st – Onion Marmalade and goats cheese tarts

2nd – Fricasee of Quail and Crayfish

3rd – Glazed beetroot, crispy pancetta, simonzola and rocket salad, with white balsamic syrup

4th – Seared beef fillet, crispy chips and red wine and thyme jus, Veg option – Seared gravlax of salmon with pea puree, and confit tomatoes

5th – Raspberry white chocolate mousse gateau served in individual glasses
